Park to Broad Wayfinding

Praxis Placemaking Studio designed and fabricated a branded signage and wayfinding system for Philadelphia's Park To Broad Arts & Business District, creating a compelling visual identity that draws visitors from nearby events into the neighborhood.

  • With an estimated 1.5 million tourists expected in Philadelphia during summer 2026 — including major events like the FIFA Fan Fest — the district needed place-specific wayfinding that could welcome visitors, celebrate America's 250th anniversary, and build lasting community identity within a tight timeline and budget.

  • Drawing from the Park To Broad brand assets, Praxis developed a suite of wayfinding icons for retail, bars, and restaurants, incorporating QR code integration alongside a two-tier signage strategy: "leader" signs positioned on border arterial streets and "breadcrumb" signs that guide visitors deeper into the district.

  • In collaboration with local fabricators Custom Reclaimed and Vinyl Creations, we delivered colorful, durable wayfinding signs that inject a bold color-pop into the district's streetscape and are flexible enough to be repositioned throughout the district as activation needs evolve.
