Philly ♥ 250

Praxis Placemaking Studio, in partnership with Bright Brothers Strategy Group, has developed a menu of customizable placemaking installations for Philadelphia neighborhoods ahead of the summer 2026 tourism surge — which includes the FIFA World Cup, America's 250th anniversary celebration, and the MLB All-Star Game. The package offers three scales of activation (small, medium, and large) featuring Philly-themed installations like iconic blade signs, a soft pretzel bench, a "250" play object, and a large-scale postcard photo-op structure. All installations can be branded with district logos, sponsorship marks, and QR codes. We’ve also identified multiple grant funding sources to help districts cover costs.

  • Event Activation

  • With an estimated 1.5 million tourists expected in Philadelphia during summer 2026, neighborhood districts need compelling, place-specific activations that welcome visitors, celebrate America's 250th, and build lasting community identity — all on a tight timeline and with limited budgets.

  • Praxis designed a plug-and-play catalog of installations organized across three scales — small (wayfinding blade signs featuring iconic Philly imagery), medium (a pretzel-shaped bench doubling as a planter and a fiberglass "250" play sculpture), and large (postcard-style photo-op backdrops with optional skyline elements). Every piece is customizable via RAL color selection, district and sponsor branding, and vinyl applications.

  • A highly localized and customizable placemaking system priced from blade signs to life-sized postcards, designed to be deployed quickly and efficiently. Districts that build a community event around these customizable installations can build memories that last a lifetime and keep people coming back for more.
